What is the BHP on your 7 ?
I though it was more judging by the way you pass the RX8 in a straight line ?
M3’s don’t have that pull down the straights normally

Im estimating it at 320bhp..
Got a few old dyno graphs...at 315 and 330bhp
Shes on twins at 13.5 psi. Working fully sequential. ( vitually no lag low down power).
Well documented what power to expect on the twins at various boost settings, they were at 16psi when i got it and it was faster but it was creeping up to 18psi and in blow up area...manily due to wastegate at this boost being unable to flow enough gas and getting boost creep.
13.5psi max as just become inefficient above this setting and very hot, and wont last long.
So i came up with 120hp advantage that a sorted 8 puts out 200bhp.

The best thing on the FD is the brakes, the 6 pot aps are awesome. Thats where i catch up most people. Im off to Combe on 12th with Javelin....hope its not raining...ill be sat in Shogun all day.

Every time I see a VR car in a video on here it remined me how much fun I had in my previous car. Really looking forward to getting the current one fixed, run in and out on track.

What another fanstastic day at JDM...

Though I am still "plagued" by what I thought was "fuel cut" scenarios (even after bringing an extra 10L to top up with before the track sessions)...

After a good long chat with Clive@MRC, I now am convinced it's Temperature management - especially as this was a REAL problem on my second session out (sans RX-8s bar one), from the "get go"... That session was delayed by 20 minutes and I'd left the car idling in the pitlane all that time...

I recently had my gauges fitted for Oil pressure, Oil Temperature, and Coolant Temperature... BUT the one sensor not yet fitted was the Coolant - so was not monitoring that (nor from OBD)... 🙄

Anyhow - on way home monitored via OBD and noticed they are getting very high - and another observation that the engine often cuts at lights... which did occur on the way home - as the temperatures rose to 108C++ at lights...

SO - been doing some investigative work on R3 which appears to have a different control system to S1 for the Fans (5 relays vs 3 and differing combos bring on the two fans at varying speeds?) Could be a duff fan or a duff Relay - BUT there are NO PDCs 048x ever showing. So probably not the latter?

The Left hand Fan is VERY difficult to see if it's spinning or not - blocked by main air intakes... So any help in diagnosing & fixing are sought... May take Clive's advice and fit an override switch to bring them on full on track...

Other lessons learned... DON'T Run engine in Pitlane! Turn off Aircon on track... 😂

Good thing is that I have video where that S2000 was blasting around - he did take me early on, but that's because I was losing power from the outset... BUT still just about managed to keep up - even with the engine clearly cutting during that sessions...

Fans are for cooling when the car is in traffic or stationary....when your on track or driving down a road the high pressure area on the front of the car is want forces the air through the rad.
The 20 min hold up yes the car wouldve got hot but the fans shouldve dealt with this, but as soom as you got on track, there wouldve been a massve amount of air flowing through rad....
I think your problem is something else...
When was the last time the rad system was flushed and fresh coolant?
Check the water pump pulley is not slipping on the belt.
