Oh boy! Page 12 and this is a worthy update for you guys and girls!

Taking things to the next level now, haha. Recently there was talks about Nitrous Oxide but no real detail subjects or builds on this owners club site, but has been done to a couple of rotarys, yet all fairly secret squirrel kinda stuff for some reason so here I am as kinda a test dummy and post my real life findings etc for any future use/info to set all the myth’s etc straight and help anyone who considered fitting a kit but been put off by the classic “my mate fitted one” pub story’s.

First il start by Ive been doing my research, I’m not just bolting on a kit and pressing a button like on the films! This is how you do blow your welds on the intake!

Also, if my trial and error blows my engine it doesn’t matter as I’m building a second one anyway, more about that when revllent.

On the 192 you can put upto 45hp shots worth without any trouble, on the 231 a 50hp shot is all good for blasting away all day and night.

There is however a few minor details to the above, things like bottle temperature has a important factor, this effects the condition of the nitrous being injected. Il go into more detail later in my thread, so please bare with me as I will be posting a huge detailed install with placement of parts and jetting etc etc.

Another main thing I want to mention now to is how the nitrous is supplied to the engine, this is the very important part. It’s all about controlling the supply to come in progressively, feeding low percentage of 15% from say 3,500 RPM and then growing the feed by for argument sake say another 15% for each 1,000 to 1,500 RPM and then climbing intill it reaches the full 100% of the jetted shot which is then full nitrous feed continued up to the redline or pre program cut off point via the controller.

That should do for now, so onto the kit I’ve got.

It’s a UK made base company, Wizard Of Nos, and one of the most reliable as far as the important parts are concerned.

This is a Wet Nitrous single throttle body Kit, meaning it injects a mixture of fuel to match the amount nos being pumped in to, where as dry kits are nitrous only feed.

Also as your see in my pictures, I’ve got a simple nitrous progressive controller kit too for now, so I can personally map the nitrous supply when to come on and by how much etc.

I got more parts on order that I’m still waiting on to go with this kit, but here’s what I have for now.

Oh, and I also got a BHR throttle body spacers with the inlets ports so I can fix my supply lines there instead of cutting up my AEM or drilling holes into my trottle body.

Lots more to follow on this as it happens.

Picture time.-

All this waiting for parts is really dragging on now... I was hoping to be posting up a couple of rather special parts I’ve been waiting forever on this weekend, but I spare the rant as been massively let down and need to find a company that can handle my rather ambitious ideas and take me seriously to for that fact. Totally understand a lot of places may get calls and e-mails similar and then nothing after a rough quote, but I think it’s clear by now to most I ain’t playing games nor a time waster.

Meanwhile, nine weeks later these rather colourful pipes have popped up! Can’t go fitting my fresh swanky radiator set up with my old pants looking factory pipes can I. Il just say, I couldn’t go with something of the norm here by playing it safe with the usual colours, I wanted it to stand out alittle more under the hood and help highlight my kitchen hardware style rad combo.

Oh, and these beauty’s too! Self explanatory.

Hugh things are in the works boys and girls, just a case of playing a waiting game, YAWN...

I can’t remember now who, but via a official Samco re-seller. They do all sorts, can even get camo style in pink. They do purple, it’s special order and I think around 8-12 weeks wait for non standard colours. Go on their site and they list re-sellers for you to place your order. Price is the same I found when I was emailing around prices for mine.

This build will be continuing in the next two months, currently way to busy building a full blown work shop seen in the link here. - viewtopic.php?f=104&t=78856

For now, once above finished, expect to see some totally over the top unnecessary mods being done to my R3. What the hell, may even order that dog box finally!

Apart from that, only update at the mo really is I’ve moved my R3 to the warehouse, and that’s where it will live from now on and only go out/used in dry weather.

Que the picture......

Just "discovered" this thread. Quite a project to get sorted once you have finished your building works!
Supercharged and highly customised
