The pub had a deal called the weekend treat which was 3 courses and 2 drinks from a separate menu for £25, so Caren said if you stick to the system and have the £25 menu the final bill would be easy to work out. John decided to have the weekend treat menu but messed up the system by having some non menu drinks thereby making the bill very complicated

As it happens I'm just re-reading Life the Universe and Everything . It explains that bistromathics is a revolutionary new way of understanding the behaviour of numbers. Just as time and space are not absolute nor are numbers.

“Bistromathics” sound as if it describes the science of dividing a restaurant bill!

Never read the Hitchhikers trilogy Chris? That's pretty much what it's talking about, and why it's never simple to work out at the end!

Chris, it was originally written as a radio series and that is its purest form but it's also very good reading in a series of books.
In my view Douglas Adams' flights of imagination are incapable of being depicted on the screen.

Radio series = deffo the only way to go. Was available on CD so maybe made it as far as the usual streaming suspects.

:whathesaid: it was the original radio series I listened to and it was excellent, the books are good too. The TV series didn't do a bad job (they used most of the original radio cast), the film really wasn't great.

Our female cat is called Gracie day to day, but her full racing name, is The Great Green Arkleseizure.

Also, in our black R3, I am still trying to figure out what to install that would let me have a black button, labelled in black on a black background, that lights up black to let you know you have done it. :-k
