I'd love to come along to this if I can get the Rex running right, I'm a definate maybe at the moment.
Is there any way we can combine this with Adams jaunt through the Alps (it'll save on driving and the tunnel) as I'd love to do both.

I haven't looked at a map (lazy, I know), but my thinking was everyone will be heading towards Calais in both directions and some can head home and some join up for the track days. It was just a thought, I understand the logistics of this are a nightmare.

I picked up an old Boxster in Dublin a couple of weeks ago Pete, its a temporary purchase and sorned until April next year. I'd like to do one track day in it before it goes though and Spa certainly would fit the bill 8)
Braking on track should be like doing a really nice poo...tapered ends and fat in the middle.

Stephanie gave me the ok as long as i save up the cash and get European breakdown cover that actually covers us this time. She will come and we will probably extend the trip to some European cities we've not seen.
Any time from late April 'til September would work best for us.
Not sure about doing the 'Ring though unless we get good track cover for it. It is an amazing track with great scenery. Unfortunately, REIS don't cover it, i know that much. It seems to be an exempt track everywhere I've looked.

You might find that it's different for an exclusive day at the 'Ring, as opposed to a tourist day. What Pete is aiming for is exclusive use, a proper track day. In that situation, REIS might view it differently.

Done: Hayward Rotary rebuild and stage 2 port; Racing Beat ARBs, adjustable front droplinks, ram air intake and lightened flywheel; Exedy stage 1 clutch; Eibach Pro-Kit lowering springs; Koyo radiator; heated front screen; EBC redstuff pads all round

Any idea what time of the year this will be?

My preference would be to go around April time next year.

From looking at the prices for Spa, May onwards till the end of September costs a minimum of 100 quid more than going January to April or October to December.
Braking on track should be like doing a really nice poo...tapered ends and fat in the middle.

April is out as it's to soon after the AGM Weekend and Japfest which takes place on the 24th of that month :!: :!:

Oh well, I shall wait for confirmation. As it stands October is about the only month next year when we have things planned already, haha. One of Stephanie's best mates getting married out in Oz so we were planning on going there in October if we could afford it. Maybe closer to the time we'll have a better clue
