Would anyone else be up for doing another Sunday drive in December? (obviously subject to CV19 restrictions)
I think the arrangements and approx route from last time worked well - meeting at ~10:30.

We had the gritter lorries out last week doing practice runs in West Suffolk. And there were three mornings when Mrs Smutty had to scrape frost off the windscreen of the French runaround when she took some of the tribe to the school bus. But nothing that warranted real gritting...

Hi all.

We are going to go with Sunday 20th December.
Similar arrangements to last time...

10:30am meet at the BP services at the Colchester park and ride / stadium junction (CO4 5HH).
We will take a similar route, although I will try to change the final section and avoid crossing the A120...
Finishing at the Olivers Plants garden centre where, depending on CV19, we can get a socially distanced coffee.

Anyone is welcome (doesn't have to be an RX-8!)

At least it's not all of Essex. Areas South and West of the meet. Most of the previous route is still in Tier 2 as well. I don't know which tier the garden centre cafe will fit into, it looks close to the faultline. They may not know themselves yet whether they'll be open.

Well that's settled. Costa takeaway on Sunday it is!

I'll have done a day trip oop North on Saturday to see the in laws with the children. Mrs Smutty's grandma is 97 and still going strong so you can imagine we all want to see her. I hate the mummy bus so I take the RX8 and tend to give them a 30 minutes head start and then overtake them 20 miles or so from the destination.

Tell you what - petrol up there is flipping cheaper than down here.
