I washed, clay barred and polished my RX8.....and then put it to bed for the winter.

But I might wake it up on a cold, crisp dry day and blast through the Suffolk countryside.

I've been working my way out of this habit myself - it's really weird to refer to vehicles as "she". I also don't give them names beyond "the car/rx8/rotor" or "the bike/monster".

I have always found the ‘she’ thing a little strange, each to their own though I guess.

I have a wife and three daughters currently residing in the house, none of whom has any particular interest in cars.

Thus, ours are referred to as:

the green one
the blue one, and
the silver one.

Took it for a drive to the Goyt Valley, mainly for me to get out a little further afield before this new lockdown comes in to force but it was nice to let the car stretch its legs a bit too. Couldn't resist a bit of a hero shot as the sun started to set.

Avoided an idiot in a Suzuki Grand Vitara.
Right up my chuff on approach to huge 3 lane roundabout. Darted into right lane as the queue was 1 car shorter, then cut across all lanes to turn off left...towards the pikey, sorry, traveller's site.
Yeah, I'll think I'll give you 3-4 car lengths matey......

Ordered a new starter motor, I believe it may be causing an issue with a cel, also ordered a pair of new battery clamps, both from Essex rotary. Will hopefully be collecting a mazdaspeed boot spoiler at the weekend. Now that I'm gainfully employed it's time to splash out again

Cheers, its agency work at the moment, but it's decent enough pay and it gets me active again. Could end up being longer term

Woo. Glad to hear you're employed again Paul. Hopefully it goes longer term or helps you get some more work if it doesn't. I'm not really looking forward to being unemployed come moving time... But needs must!

mrspiller, it's costing me £450 from Dan Jones, in his words it looks brand new, he has others that aren't quite so good for £400, from experience with Dan it'll be decent

Hmm! If that’s what they are worth do I sell mine, which also has the extra middle wing Tony added, instead of swapping it for the PZ wing currently fitted to RR54 which was my original plan.
