Help with paint code on R3?

My bonnets off at the body shop being resprayed and they’re requesting the paint code which I cannot find anywhere on the car?

It’s a grey metallic colour on a 2010 car I believe the right colour may be 38E from google searches but can anyone confirm?

Driver's door pillar or under the bonnet near the driver's corner of the windscreen I believe?
Failing that, the colour police will probably be along shortly to give you a better clue!

Checked every door shut including rear door and all under the bonnet. Found the vin plate and such but nothing denoting any colour codes I know Mazda to use

Is it a bigger wing mirror car? If so, it will be Aluminium Silver which is 38P

Unsure what is a big or small mirror car? It’s a 2010 R3 model, still new to the 8s and their many variations.

Yes that’s Alu silver (later model year so does have the bigger mirrors)

If the bonnet is sprayed based on that colour code then it *might* be a close enough match for the rest of the car, but really they should be getting the paint shade colour-matched by the supplier.

The guy that did the replacement front bumper for my Jeep made that mistake and you can tell the difference (too silvery) from the other side of the street . Thankfully, it's just a Jeep, so I don't really care.

Spoke to Mazda Uk with the Vin can confirm its 38P many thanks for all your help

I'm pretty sure diamond grey with the smaller mirrors is 38E for reference
