P0420 code appeared and was cleared. I'm going to blame the decat unless it pops up again in which case I may need to swap my sensor for the spare 'good' one I have in the shed off my old cat and rule that out. I may have also been a bit more generous with the premix than normal last time I filled up, so the sensor may just be unhappy about that which should go away in ~250ish miles (<200 if I'm enjoying myself).

I should really give it a compression test as well, as it was unhappy starting from hot the other day, although it hasn't done the same since. Think happy thoughts...
The lads at TPS managed to tell computer not to look for a cat anymore, saes having to delete the code every couple of drives, though it does mean that when a warning light comes on now I know I'm in trouble.

First time I've had it since fitting the exhaust, so maybe it'll just go away again. :-k

If it doesn't, well, I've been considering a minimap for a while anyway and maybe if I bat my eyelids at whoever does it my car will likewise 'forget'.

It takes a particular set of conditions before the PCM can check and see if the cat is working, or not.

The most common scenario being a gentle motorway cruise, with very little change in speed or engine load for sufficient miles.

This is why some people may see it quite often and others never see it at all, despite not having a working cat.

I started off with just the 2 subs and thought bloody hell they look like eyes.
Next thing I'd drawn up the bad boy logo (a good friend designed it when she was a teen) then thought I could see the Mazda logo.
And did more searching and found "Mazda emblem owl logo"

I think it's going to take some time to get used to dude. For a cheap install, I think it's ok. A 10" with the same output in a sealed enclosure would probably punch just as hard.

I just wanted to do something with what I had Image

If you like the big ass bottom gangsta style then it does sound cool.

Pop and dance sounds ok. Rock and metal is a bit wobbly on the bottoms though.

No doubt I'll keep messing with the crossover and probably start reducing the input gain too.

One thing I do love. I can now hear the bass notes and not just feel the lo-mid punch over the exhaust! Image

Ahah not bad then really! Properly reminds me of the 2000s car scene via F&F style. You just need some LEDs/Neon strips in the boot and a playstation and you're good.
