Placed the order 5 minutes ago before seeing this sorry. Also your Calipers are different to mine and I am not sure yours are Racing Brake, (edit 23:08 see Ranjans post below) they look more like AP Racing Calipers.

Chris have you told them you are not very happy as they keep braking (no pun intended) see if they will do you some foc?
They know it is a fault as they changed design, worth an ask.

Already done Graham. When I was there in September they gave me a retainer free when I bought some seals. My garage who removed the pistons then said they and the seals were fine so I did not use the seals. Looks like I should have done given the uneven pad wear.

I bought some new tyre valve caps. And won an auction on a pair of rocking horse shi7s PZ centre caps. I only need one so will stick the other up on here for those of you who like me are short of a singular. :thumright:

I will wait till they arrive before mentioning a price to ensure they're not ruined.

Thanks for the reminder, did mine today but took it out for an hours exercise on the nearly empty roads beforehand =D>

Swapped the PZ wheels over onto my daily as I prefer them then mothballed the RX8 till lockdown ends, depending how long it lasts I should get quite a bit of tax back being an 07 so just inside the higher bracket

Good news Wayne, I just spoke to RB in LA and they are supplying two retainer plates for your Calipers.
Fortunately they are quite slow in processing orders and my plate order is only just being processed today.
Just as well because I have just discovered that the 16 seals I picked up back in September are all fluid seals, no dust seals hence I had to call their sales office to sort out the supply of the correct seals.
No idea of the cost yet.

Velocity Red rattle can arrived today so I painted the to be re-sealed rear Calipers and the Cusco Brace brackets.
Also popped, literally, the pistons out of the Racing Brake 4 pots using an Argon MIG bottle and braided brake pipe opening the valve very, very carefully! Work a treat. Discovered that there was alloy corrosion behind the dust seals probably pushing them against the pistons and restricting their movement.
Racing Brake advise frequent checking of pad wear and if wearing at an angle to swap them around as a temporary fix, but ideally overhaul the Calipers which is what I started today but of course I discovered I didn’t have the correct seals!
Two phone calls to RB in LA and tge seals were sorted plus 2 x retaining springs for mrspiller!

Ooft. Where did you get that VR rattle can from Chris? Is it the ones you mentioned before where its identical to the original Mazda paint so applied without primer if used on body panels?

Here you go. Base coats have a sheen finish which comes up sparkly when the clear coat is applied. I have never tried a panel only aero kit sections

Alright cool. May have to repaint my passenger wing. I do have two people who would spray it for me with proper setups. One would be free the other would have a cost attached.. But I might consider rattle can to do it myself. as well as that would turn out.

Matching one panel in VR is nigh on impossible as it fades differently from car to car and also I think they could vary out of the factory when new!
