Are the pads an easy sliding fit into the calipers. Sometimes there is paint or a flashing burr from when the backings were made that requires grinding off. If your sliders are free but the pad is sticking then check to make sure your pistons are not seizing in their bores.

Yeah I did take a bit off the pad but its amazing what a couple of months sitting around not being used does to stuff like that.

Managed to release the nasty little nuts (supplied with my tyre pressure monitor system) that had corroded onto my tyre valves. That's not a good situation to be in if any of your tyres lose pressure, obviously.
Replaced them with the stainless steel ones I ordered recently. I will make sure I keep a suitable spanner in the car!

Just bought some front EBC blue stuff pads from EBC Brakes Direct for £95 saving £42 off the list price; that's my forum fees made back and then some.
This club is actually making me money. Happiness :D

Ranjan.
That’s a great price, how did you get the discount?

Thanks

I have tried both the discount codes listed on here for EBC and neither are accepted, is there another one?

Strange, it worked perfect for me on Thursday, used the second code Chris suggested and they took off more than the 15%

Also, make sure you use the ebcbrakedirect dot com as there are two other EBC brake sites that may cause confusion.

Had the opposite to those weather conditions last week Kenny, was changing the exhaust over (it has a split and was due an mot) worked on the car, got the old one off and it started to drizzle, went in for a brew, we had rain and hail, came out to fit spare and it was glorious sunshine.

Ready for next weekend I checked all fluids and loaded the track wheels & tyres, 2x20ltr Jerry Cans, crate of spare fluids, crate of wipes, cloths etc; spare new disc pads, tools, chocks, but no room for the trolley jack which is too flipping heavy to transport around anyway!

Took a bit of time to properly inspect my spare set of callipers. Removed slide pins and such. Cleaned them up with brake cleaner and put everything back together. For some reason the drivers front calliper is still a tad sticky compared to the other very free moving slide pins. Going to guess theres a build up of old grease in the bores that needs properly cleaned out. Sadly don't have anything to do that with so I just put them back together for now. Also think I need new slide pins all round as well before I put them on the car.

Also side note, thats not a bottle of oil. I stole some brake cleaner from my mechanic and thats the only bottle that was kicking about at the time. :p
