Yes that's my view. I've had my PZ from new since Sep 2006. Kept it pretty stock though I've added the odd tidbit here and there. Not really thought of it as an investment or anything. Stick to mods that are reversible and keep everything you remove, that gives you the best of both worlds.
That said, a sohn/cofs and a good set of coils and leads, would always be an investment, along with engine mounts.
When checking the PZ look for the rear sitting low, as the springs can snap at the top. Most obvious if only one side, less so if both sides.
Replacement springs available in Club Shop (and nowhere else for PZ))

Thanks for the advice will definitely look at the general condition of the suspension on the car, can I ask is stalling a RX8 bad? Will it flood the engine? I’ve head that it does but I’ve no idea.

Only really floods the engine if its cold and you stall over and over again. Having a good ignition system really helps avoid that happening. Its unlikely you'll stall it out enough times to flood it... When I had my clutch changed the biting point to begin with was literally a millimeter... I stalled several times in a row without flooding when the engine was cold. And my ignition system wasn't even that great then.

Hm. If you've only started it once and stalled once I'd be a bit worried if that were the case. I've had petrol cars and diesels. NA and turbos. Hatchbacks, convertibles and big saloons from an array of brands. The irony is that the RX8 is the most reliable car I've ever owned. It's never let me down.
The engine rebuild scene is so competitive as well. When piston engines on two of my past cars died, that was it game over. But with an RX8 you can have it rebuilt for a couple of grand, which really is good value.

The one I liked best was when I had to change my rear tyres due to a nail on the edge. The tyre guy said that he heard if you don't start an rx8 every two weeks the engine will completely seize up. He knew someone this had happened to. Well not directly. Someone who knew someone.
I've had mine 13 years and it's still going strong. It requires different maintenance to a petrol or diesel but not more.

Same as any other sports car really,stay on top of oil changes,change spark plugs regular ( every 8K or so for me )don't rag the arse off it when she's cold and beep her often to keep her sweet and that's pretty much it really,oh and have deeeeep pockets!!

Okay folks so an update, I’ve been for a test drive tonight and the car from cold started well, car drove really nice and I am happy how she feels! However, I made a point at the end of the test drive to turn the engine off then attempted to start it up again and nothing. The car would not fire up, I could hear it turning over but just wouldn’t catch.
I’ve said to the garage if they can sort the issue and I can rely on the car starting every time I’ll take it off there hands. (No cash exchange yet).
So will wait on an update from the garage, what would you think the hot engine start up issue is? The water/oil temp looked okay on the dash and it drove okay, nice and smooth no issues.
