Service and MOT at the Performance Shop - and all is well with the world again. :D I was surprised to find Luke Murdoch there as well - he was robbing parts off a car. ;)

Received my clutch kit from Rotary Revs today. Fitting either next monday or at the weekend. Figured I should also order a pilot bearing but only thought of that yesterday so it may not arrive in time for a monday fitting. :(

Can't wait to have a not slipping/spinning all the time clutch.

March 2018. Yea..

In my defense, all attempts at sourcing lower cost R3 tips failed, I had to give in and buy brand new ones in the end. #-o

Picked up my racing beat exhaust from Osman today which I am happy with.

Decat my stock cat piece.

Can anyone confirm if those 2 bolts that are cut are needed for the sensor because it was a garage that removed my original car and replaced it, also can I remove that heat shield cause it is damaged and rattling or is it important to keep?

Tried polishing the tip of my new exhaust with some successful results.

Swapped the ditchfinders on the PZ for my rainsports off the silver one, also fitted new 1144’s on the front in time for Combe next Saturday. Changed the plugs, and am just waiting for the RRP coils to arrive so I can get them on too. Not sure if I will have time to fit the Revi scoop and airbox next week, but will see. Also did a double oil change and new filter.

@Devon - the two smaller holes on the cat are just for holding the protective shield so the o2 sensor can still be screwed in fine on yours

Whilst the discs are away being ground I thought I would give the callipers an initial clean.
Not bad for c12 years old!
The callipers are hard anodised, not painted. The standard rears will be a bigger job to clean up.

Fair enough, I had my oem one laying around so I got my drill and big drill bit and went to town on it. Only took me 20mins to do so not complaining, I wanted to keep the centre silencer as I didn’t want my car to be crazy loud.

I think it depends on the state of the OEM cat. If it would no longer pass an MOT for example you have nothing to lose bashing its guts out. If it was a perfectly healthy OEM cat then whelp!

Always annoyed me that my lower rear bumper was a blue-ish grey and my exhaust shrouds were darker - opposite to everyone else. See pic 3

Finally took the plunge and bought some bumper dye - results are pretty remarkable. Took many coats to cover the blue/grey but very pleased with how it's turned out.
Time will tell how long it lasts.......

Used MLM bumper dye - came with a foam applicator (but this makes the dye go bubbly) and a micro fibre cloth - best to use this by dabbing into a small pot of the dye as it goes on more evenly without the bubbles :thumleft:

Had to clean all the previous silicone based blacking attempts off with alcohol first and the cloth was amazingly dirty
Masked up the coloured section of the bumper, took shrouds off to do them off the car.
As Josh at RR said, it's really messy stuff - defo a rubber gloves job.

That looks wicked, I suffer the same issue, where did you get that black dye from? I could do with some.
