Am I the only one who always takes nitrile gloves out with me? Don't get those fluids on your bare skin!
For anyone new to Blyton keep your eyes open for the potholes entering the circuit, they'll rip yer suspension off if you're not careful.
Have fun you lot.

Oh yeah - gloves too. (also a bottle of "gloves-in-a-bottle")
I used them yesterday when having new boots fitted to the spare wheels - it was quicker than trying to find a place to wash all the brake dust off my hands after hoiking them into the back of the focus.

Geeze, so many rotary guys (RX-8 and RX-7) are bringing their entire tool sheds with them.

Anyone keen on rebuilding a 13b on the day for 7s day?

So much more space for things in an RX8. I normally take a track set of wheels and swap them on the the venue. No space in an FD to do that. My car is full of fluids and empty Jerry cans and a modest selection of tools...

As I'm towing my car I have my truck to fill up with stuff, would be annoying if something breaks that I could fix ur I had tools!

I take tools etc; specifically so that I do not need them, other than to swap the wheels or pads that is.
I just need the car to sorted and that's getting a bit tentative!!!!!

Dear all that is precious! I've just put two spare wheels in the back seat behind the driver's seat and the driving position is ... different? Yes, definitely not compromised but very... different! My knees are about 1/2inch off the dash below the steering wheel and I'm driving with my elbows! :race:
That's going to be a fun couple of hours up the motorway.

Put the wheels in across the car, push the front one up on the tunnel as you close the rear door. Leaves more seat adjustment room

Similar to the paranoia of regular Lottery ticket purchases, what if you don’t buy one week and the numbers come up? So every time you buy a ticket and continue to lose!

In 20 years tracking ive had 5 instances where i wouldnt get home without a trailer..
X2 8 engine blow ups and a brake hose explode..crash westy and crash fd
Luckily ive had the Shogun n trailer for 4 of them ha ha....
Drove the colt home on the handbrake ...that was interesting and not to be repeated...
Nice safety net.

Problem I have with taking a trailer is you can push a bit too hard as you don't have to drive it home!

Just got confirmation that the car cannot be mapped tomorrow so now in a dilemma situation. The map on the ECU is the Pettit SC map flashed in from the Dude logger so all should be OK if indeed it has flashed correctly.
The engine has run faultlessly during the running in period, up to 1400 miles now, and it shows no signs of pinking (detonation) on up to 5lb boost and up to 5000rpm so I am thinking of using the car anyway with moderate throttle and the 5000rpm limit and focussing on my braking and cornering lines and finding out how the car handles rather than going for out and out acceleration and speed.
The thought of how costly it could be if I floor the throttle is enough to keep my right foot in check.

Option B is come in the M3 of course but the only rotary bit in that engine is the crankshaft!!!!

It's not rotary only anymore now that there's a Lotus in the lineup. If it were me, I'd be bringing the M3 over a work in progress :thumleft:

It certainly logical to use the M3 but does logic have a place in the ownership of a SC RX8?

That's right where I am with my thoughts.

Now sorting the logistics of getting some uprated brake pads for the M3 before Friday!!!

I wonder if my 18" Federal tyres and wheels will fit?
