Totally get the dilemma Ian, you mentioned losing the R3 being on your mind last year.

Have you test driven the 25th or Kuro 5? They're slower and the suspension softer than what you'll be used to with your R3. Tho I've only driven the 25th and standard sport Mk3s myself, not the Kuro. Not all Kuros had a LSD but whether that's a must is subjective I guess. If you test drive and still want one then great for you :thumleft:

Please brace yourself for the silly low offers you'll get for your R3 that won't nearly represent it's true value.

I haven't driven either Haydn,i test drove a 2L ND recently and it just didn't do it for me.Don't get me wrong its a lovely car but I found it a tad cramped and that's saying something as I'm only 5' 8" and thin

I know they will be a lot different to the 8 and I will miss the buzz of being up at 9K revs having fun but hey ho.

Regarding the LSD I defo want it but it's standard on the 25th and correct me if I'm wrong here but AFAIK its standard on 2L Kuro's too.

I know what to expect when it comes to any offers ill get for her Haydn,in fact I reckon ill be positively bent over ( cue Nigel  ) but what can I do,the market is the market and my car has a few issues that need sorting so I'm not really in a position to stand firm on what I think she might be worth :(

There was a guy over here with a lovely white R3,bog standard and it took him about six months to shift,i think in the end he got something like 5500 euros

I'm off the forum for a while and this is what I come back to?! It must be the end of the world 😂😂😂😂

I hear everything you are saying, you'll save a fortune running the 5 over the 8. The 8 is just a massive money pit.

You could always buy a hybrid yaris? I know they have a special place in your heart 😂😂😂

My observations, I owned a 2.0 litre 160 bhp Mk3 MX5 along side my present RX-8 and the MX5 is a great little sports car especially with the top down but I can honestly say it was always a delight to get back into the RX-8 after a long spell in the MX5.

At the moment I own a 911 Cabriolet and again the Porsche is a great drive just for the power alone but again I always enjoy getting back into the RX-8 it just does everything so well.

There is just nothing like it!
