Preparing for the MOT next week, was a mission to fit with the bolts protruding.

Best wae is like getting the air box out of the VFAD by squashing the accordion - give the cat an almighty shove and a swing backwards to jolt the catback rearwards on the hangers, and the momelontum should hopefully make it comes out enough and slip out.

Passenger airbag recall carried out at Mazda in Orpington, no dramas. Went to visit LC Rotary in their new premises at Swanscombe which is going to be epic when the building work is completed. Good day.

its ok, ive known for a while its on borrowed time, and that was comfirmed today with one face of the front rotor showing 3.9bar (tested at lunchtime by mr melon)

one lap later, i span it and it wouldnt restart. i was recovered off track and carl ryan had a look and diagnosed front stationary bearing faliure, with the expected damage to apex seals.
Slight edit, that was Carl Hayward not Carl Ryan

Thanks to the unusually warm weather, courtesy of a Saharan wind,I broke the R3 out of hibernation a bit early, and made use of the dry roads to take her for a good blast..green across the board after over three months laid up :thumleft:

Also gave the A/C a good run..something to remember if you're laying a car up for a long period ;)

As a treat while I'm waiting for insurance to be reinstated I fitted an alloy V crest to the front and new to me stainless strakes, then a half decent exterior clean to get rid of the mud from the storage yard, noticed about 1 inch square paint damage on front bumper from storage company. Complaint already logged with claim handlers, bloody Copart, excuse my French, better be getting some more money for paint repairs.

Is that for two stroke (looks like purple fluid) or an inline fuel pump? I'd probably used braided fuel line for peace of mind if it's fuel.
