On a more serious note there will plenty of room for Azam's guide dog in the FK8 :p

The Jag XE 3.0 is no longer made so bit of a rare beasty. Later ones had 375hp.

Yeah that's right. The one I'm looking at is in Italian racing red. Interior colour wise I'm not too sure on it. The seats have black centre sections with outer red portions.

Yeah I been watching the YouTube videos as you do and seems to be impressive in handling as well as the engine. I'm genuinely quite excited

You are such a Bugger Mark. Lol.

In all honesty I have always like the xe s. But the next car has the be the right decision. Hence why Im going to see a few different types of car.

The one thing that's a bit of a worry with a Fk8 type R is I don't want a 2017 model. I want as late a 2018 car as I can get because of the gearbox issues. Hence I'm talking of a bigger slice of the pot disappearing. It might be that I do get an Fk8 but not just now. Image

So went and test Drove the Jaguar xe s model...…. exactly the same looking as in the picture above in this thread but not that car.

Came away suitably impressed and was offered a great deal but it wasn't to be..

It drove like a dream, great engine gearbox combo …. smooth paddle changes if you wanted..... Didn't feel its size …. very nimble and it just flowed along the road with great comfort.... Add into that a decent set of vocal chords and it ticked all the boxes... Did I want to buy it.... Hell yes.. Was I tempted to ignore my main and only concern … Not really.... as it was a biggie...… Whilst I was impressed with the quality of the interior , it was my concern I mentioned previously that did indeed surface.... I just didn't like the Black/Red combo seats..... seeing them for real rather than pictures confirmed that.... It strange as the type r has the same combo but more red but its a different material . brighter and just works. The leather in the Jag, to me, it didn't.... I did manage to see another XE there which had the black seats and it just confirmed it to me. So it was a no go and I was even offered money off but it was a NO from me.... Gutted.. slightly..... but Hey Ho....

Apparently Nigel. That was the standard seat colours. If you wanted black, or cream/black it was a no cost option. That's why the majority of cars have the red/black :-(

I think the cream /black works btw

I've twice been tempted with a Yellow&Black "leather" for my Lightning Yellow Rex.

The first time it would have cost me a grand, back when the car was still worth over 10k.
The last time I could have had it for £200.

However;
- I don't really like leather seats, as they're hot in summer, cold in winter, and too slippery
- The cloth seats are quite a lot lighter, especially the drivers, not having the motors.
- Without the motors the seat is also lower, leaving room for a helmet on track days
- Also, despite the Yellow & Black theme I have on the outside, a Yellow & Black interior just doesn't do it for me

I think an all red interior would be nice in the XE.

Glad you are going for a Jag - don't want you cramping my style when I get the FK8 :p

Actually,hurry up a & sell the FK2

They'll have come out with a face-lift model by then & hopefully a "Black Edition" :D

Never been a fan of the "RRR" examples that everybody & his mate has

To my mind the red interior doesn't work because it's kinda cheap looking as well as being a bit vulgar. I have seen it on a black car too and its the same. It just doesn't look classy enough.

It is really difficult getting the interior colour right which is probably why most go for black as I do normally.
However I inherited a company car off a colleague at work and he had specked it with red leather.
It’s grown on me and I really like it now.
