Good result with that polish

Thanks, took some doing by hand just to get to that stage.

It's very satisfying to clean/polish half of something or one of a pair, so you can really see the difference.

Only problem is... you then have to do the other half...

Yeah, that’s mainly why I focus on just one for now.

Yup yup, safe to say the enthusiasm has kinda worn off now...

Was there any particular reason for this one over the Axial Flow shifter?

I may be wrong but I think the re-anamia one is for 5 speed box and axial flow is for the 6 speed box

I have seen the Axial Flow do a 5 speed to, but seems to be mixed reviews.

Let’s us know how you get on with the Re-anamia once you got it fitted.

my bonnet lifter kit arrived today... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fit-MAZDA-RX ... 2749.l2649
it was 48 quid ,it seems to have gone up since last week....it fits very easily,10 minutes a side, direct bolt on..no drilling. only issue was the shock fouling on the trim at the back, had to trim a bit off each side to get the back of the bonnet flush.

I like the look of that, added to my watch list. Let us know how it hold’s up after a couple of months.

Be careful if you put the bonnet up on a windy day as that design attached to the hinge causes a lot of swaying about as SeeJay discovered at Duxford the other year!
Makes life a lot easier, I retained the original rod to hold the bonnet up if an when I need to remove the front wings, like ones does that frequently!

They can also put a lot of strain on the hinges, so don't be surprised if the shut-line at the rear of the bonnet opens up.

Ben asked me to get here early, at 9:30 - which I did. Seems he's forgotten!
