As far as I can tell, in addition to what was in the post, the car also has most of the Mazda aero kit (front lip, front mud guards, rear skirts, rear bumper guard thingies, so everything except the rear hoop spoiler). It also has strakes. I think everything else is stock?

Sorry guys I was not clear!

Yes I do see there are some aero kit parts. I have a quick search on Ebay and find those. The ones I found are not Mazda original parts but I guess it would not be a big issues buying these aftermarket and then spray them.

Other than that the car is lowered compared to stock I think. Any ideas on how much lower compared to the original?

UK-spec cars all came with Mazda Sports suspension, so fitting aftermarket lowering springs doesn't have the same impact that it would on cars with Standard suspension.

Do you know what suspension your car has?
I've not seen a car factory-fitted with Sports suspension and the smaller front brake discs so, if your front and rear disc are the same diameter, then it's a good bet that you have standard suspension.
However, I have see cars factory-fitted with Standard suspension and the bigger brakes, so if your front discs are larger than the rears, then that just means you've got the bigger brakes.

I did this with a 20 year old shogun, parked it such that the passenger door on the shogun was millimetres away from their driver's door. Came back out of the shop to see them stood staring at it.

Hit the unlock button and the lights flashed, they then said "why did you park like that?" I simply replied "Because if I'd parked it between the lines I'd have hit your car" and drove off. So much smugness. Maybe they've learnt their lesson, maybe they haven't, but I had many smiles from it.

Planned work - Sills repaired both sides, D585 coils, Magnecor Leads, NGK Spark Plugs, Bosh Battery, Uprated Starter Motor, New Discs and Pads all to be fitted!
Anyone want to buy a slightly used, 27 year old kidney to fund all of this??!!!!

Haha yes and it's only part of it!
I missed out the Warrington to Dordrecht leg over the weekend via Cambridge, Harwich and Hook of Holland.
Time's a bit limited as I'm straight back into work

I will take a look, definitely need to meet some people who know these cars inside out, I am lost!

I have a hefty basket waiting at Rotary Revs: Pads, discs, D585 kit, spark plugs, service kit, top up kit, starter motor and battery. Just waiting on the membership to come through so that I can get the 5% off (every little helps).

Loving the car so far though, makes me smile about 15 minutes into my commute when I open her up :P

They're EBC discs with yellow stuff pads. Didn't go for the drilled discs as I hear they can be noisy.

Fitted racing beat revi intake (no scoop yet) what a swine of a job and I'm used to working on bowling machines, I'm sure I dislocated my forearm a few times and it doesn't even have a joint in it, still its in now, first thoughts it sounds good once your revs start to get more urgent

Took photos today of the result of washing and polishing yesterday.
RX8 RRR.jpg
It looks better than it did!
I'm a little disappointed in the state of the wheels, though. Being an 06 plate, when I bought it the wheels were pretty rough. I had them 'repair and painted' 3 years ago [for £60 + VAT each] but as you can see they are corroding once again. Am I expecting too much, or should they be in better condition 3 years on from refurbishment?

Did they refurb the whole rim or just the outside? The inside looks pretty poor in comparison but being out of sight you could probably clean that up yourself quite cheaply and get good results masking tape up the front then going at the inside with some sanding, rattle can primer then paint.
