Good grief I have just found out there are only 705 RX-8 R3's left from the 2015 Register :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock:

That means 21 R3's have been lost forever between 2014 to 2015 #-o

Will Revise our List on here :P

So far the RX-8OC have found only 89 Examples within this Car Club :(

Would be nice if we could hit 100 Cars :P

It does seem odd that most RX8 owners don't join the club given the wealth of advice and knowledge given mostly freely on here.

Might explain why there are still so many ending up scrapped.

Bet hell want like a grand for interior alone. Think ive messaged before that breaker. In birmingham is he? Im hoping 1 day to get the seats and skirts 2gether for 700. You can get the brand new recaro in same style from demon tweeks for 1k.

1 year on there's now 678 left on the road (+41 rotting or wrapped up in a garage somewhere) according to https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/vehicle/mazda_rx8_r3

Slightly more stable numbers for the R3 than 8's as a whole though... https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/family/mazda_rx8

And I see that scrappy is still advertising that R3 (plus a white one) for parts!

Covers United Kingdom excluding Northern Ireland up to 2014 Q3. Includes Northern Ireland from 2014 Q4
As the numbers went down from 726 to 722 (licensed) and 27 to 22 (SORN) that implies there either aren't any R3's in NI, or at least not as many as were written-off on the mainland in 3 months :shock:

For the total RX-8 range it's not much better...

You'd expect numbers to be more stable. They're anything up to 7 years younger.

Ireland AFAIK,I remember seeing it on FB a few weeks ago.I think it was Dublin.Theres Defo a few in the U.K. Type diesel RX8 in to the search on FB and it will take you to a few links...

Makes you think,twenty years from now what's going to be left on the roads in terms of rotaries? There will always be rotaries about because of enthusiasts and specialists but in terms of sheer numbers they could be few and far between.I rarely see one when I'm out driving,in fact when I do it's a case of " Christ there's an 8!! " and as far as 7's go well they are as rare as hens teeth on the roads over here ( at least in terms of them being used regularly)

Haha! No way. I thought that was normal database error.

A diesel in an RX8 kindof misses the point doesn't it!

Although looking at the ever growing pile of petrol receipts I understand where it's coming from....
