I have removed forum names from the listing to try and emphasize this is about the car, and for benchmarking, not a competition ;)

I have lap times for a number of circuits but not sure they are useful for track day comparisons

Liam, I'd be interested in posting your times up for comparative purposes. OK, so it's a highly modified RX-8, but it does show what the car can achieve if someone is interested in going sown a similar route.

Yes there useful Liam
This is trying to give people an idea of what is possible with different spec cars.
The biggest difference is the driver of course which is why I have always kept my lap times largely off the forum as it would not have been helpful to the club years ago as people were just getting into track driving.
It does need race licence stated so people know it,s a track experienced driver.
I had a chat with Malcolm about this the other day, we did talk about this several times over the years and the names have been removed as this is not a compitition and we want it to be useful to club members not detrimental to the club.
Regards
Pete

To slow again, Malcolm had already got there :)

I think it would add a lot if you could put your times up Liam. My car isn't exactly road friendly either. We all have different priorities and compromises with our cars, and few others would expect to get close to your times, but we'd all like to understand what the spectrum of times is. It would be equally interesting to see Clive's times, even if they are probably off the scale for most of us.

I'm pretty sure it's your time that's up there ;)

I had a quick look through a random selection of videos of my visit to Goodwood in 2013 and laptimes (flying laps of course) were around 1m40-1m42, so I've left the 1m43s time up there for now :D

Got to be done Pete, I was trying to beat an Integra Type R which did a 101.99. My final run of the day i managed to pull a 100.61 but unfortunately didn't get that one on video.
I have the timing sheet somewhere.

INDICATIVE RX 8 circuit laptimes

Post by LizaKah »

Hi Pablo

I have a project with a Master Frame using a Bootstrap Navigation bar in the Page Header.

Having read the documentation it states "The active property can be used to indicate the current page.

So far I have a Home page and an About Us page - I have set both the Home and About to active - however, when I preview either pages both the Home and About Us items are shown highlighted active.

How do I show the active page the one Im viewing only highlighted in the Bootstrap Navigation please?

RX8 R3 at Rockingham Super Sportscar Layout (1.94 miles) on the 4th of March, Federal 595 Evo road tyres, 1:45.4 :thumleft:

Car has a decat, catback and minimap in terms of performance modifications, no porting, rev limit increase or anyfink :) According to RaceChrono my optimal lap would have been a 1:44.8 made up of all my best sectors, so would still round to 1:45 :)

Sad time! No worries, rules is rules! :P

Looking forward to doing some more tracks this year, so if I do some not on the list I'll post them up :thumleft:

EDIT: Mine was running 595 Evo tyres, not semi slicks :) They're the road ones, not the RSRs

Federal 595 EVOs are actually "Blue Book List 1B" tyres, just like the 595 RSRs, so that makes them semi-slicks. Sorry :?
(SS595s are list 1A tyres, and therefore not semi-slicks)

Fair dos - learn something new everyday!

Is there much discernible difference between them and the RSRs then?
