2022 Tour De Snowdonia Completed

Pub meets, drives and social events. For good food and good company while the car stays in the car park, or for a pleasurable drive through the countryside.

2022 Tour De Snowdonia Completed

Post by DrewR3 »

Afternoon Everyone,

See here:

https://photos.app.goo.gl/H5WRk8HZHQRNNhBp7

For Harrys photo file of the trip.

This years Snowdonia Tour has been completed. Thank you to everyone who came along, especially Simon for organising the 2 lunch stops and assisting in route checks. Also Chris for producing the route plan guides for everyone to follow.

I have locked the other planning thread and created this one for photo sharing and discussion of those who went. I know the media team took plenty of photos.

Could I ask those who went, when they have 5 minutes spare to assist the local companies who helped us make the trip by leaving reviews on their google or tripadvisor pages. Ive included there websites but i think google reviews by searching the names are more useful to companies.

The Quay Hotel and Spa -

https://quayhotel.co.uk/

The Giler Arms -

https://www.giler.co.uk/

Plas Weunydd -

https://plasweunydd.co.uk/

Again thank you everyone for coming and I hope to see you all at next years.

Had a great weekend thougherly enjoyed every minute, even those spent behind miss daisy (you know who you are 🀣)
Hope everyone feels as I do that the effort put into organising was well worth it , and that this could become a great annual event.
I personally think there are at least half a dozen other routes that could be used for this event and I'm already looking forward to scoping them out with Drew and others so the event stays fresh, so anyone attending one year will still look forward to the next one.
Hope everyone enjoyed the places we used to eat and thought as I did that they were value for money, as well as being good places to visit.
As Drew has already said, comments on social media for these places would be appreciated.
Nice to meet you all, thank you for your company over the last 2 days.

What a fantastic weekend, the best since I drove the NC500 in Scotland a few years ago.
Well done Drew and Simon for planning the route and leading each day. Thanks Simon for the lunch stops which were great, I do love a bit of cake!
Great to see everyone after all this time and to see Leroy and Rachel waving on the corner at Conwy was a wonderful surprise.
I have already got a bumper sorted from Darius DRK597 and thanks to Harry for assisting in this.
Once again thanks to all and cannot wait see all the photos and videos flooding in, now off to watch the Miami F1 race, on TV that is!

This is why I commented regarding sorting a bumper out. Slight altercation with a boulder in car car park!

A small selection of the photos from the weekend!

I'll sift through them all over the next few days and get a link sorted to a full res folder so you can see all the pictures taken on my camera as there are hundreds, should hopefully have some good ones of everyone! :D

Harry's out here ruining everyones anonimity! Dammit.

Great weekend with amazing weather. Really well planned out and all things considered we actually managed to stay together quite well (even though some of us got lost day 1 and didn't go around the Evo triangle.)

Will be looking forward to the next one! Hopefully I'll possibly be driving as well and not navigating for Christine (we don't trust other people anymore..)

Think I am also possibly a tad sunburnt..

Great first selection mate, everyone will think we have been Rallying, just noticed that alot of the car parks were not actually Tarmac that we stopped at. Im now trying to think of one that actually was other than the hotel. Hopefully someone has a good shot up at the Evo triangle aswell.

A slightly belated thank you to Drew, Simon, Naomi and everyone else who was involved in putting together such a fantastic weekend. Both me and Lisa had a great time and it was wonderful to see a convoy of RX-8s taking on the twisties once more.

Have to say I was serious impressed with Agatha :inlove: I promise if we do this again next year I'll give my RX-8 a thorough going over so it doesn't let the side down!

πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ I can confirm that the pool was up to the high standards of the rest of the hotel! Pool was at Bath temperature, sauna was hot hot hot, and the jacuzzi pool had a waterfall feature that was great for releasing tension in the back after a full day of driving 😁

Thanks again to all those involved in organising this, and to the media team for some great photos - that’ll help remind us of what a great weekend away it was! 😎
