Hi Drew, will you be stopping for lunch, and if so, at what time and where?. This would be the ideal place for people to join the meet.

Yes i had thought about a lunch stop. Last time we held it at the end of the run in Deganwy Quay just off of the A55 by where we are looking at starting on completion of the loop.

Im easy to stop halfway somewhere is people wanted to join down there. I am struggling to think of place that way as we are heading quite rural and out of my area of known places. I live around the Deganwy area so know of lots of places and it is more built up. I am sure there will be little country pubs along the route i have not paid much attention too or stopped at before but if we can find one on google before then happy to have a mid run lunch. I know around evo triangle area and the turn off from the a5 is quite sparse. There is a biker cafe opposite nant tyres near cerrig.

The Giler Arms near Pentrefoelas I can recommend, may need to check opening times, availability and give an idea of numbers.

They have yet to get back to me, I will chase, what time given the route will will be getting to Pentrefoelas, so I can give them an indication.
Idea of numbers would also be beneficial.

With how busy things are around here at the moment i would say get when you can and we will leave to suit arriving there. I tried 10 places for llunch last week and they had nothing for upto a week some said.

Hopefully we are early enough, but i think a table of 6 at the moment would be enough? Mrs is coming with me and a friend may follow us from here aswell

To simplify things, would it be easier to bring a few butties and drink and then all we need to know is where there break happens,at what time and the duration of the break, rob.

Two Gates, A5, Ty-nant, Corwen LL21 0PT

Giela Arms does not open for lunch😳
Country Cooks used to be an old Little Chef years ago and is now privately owned, does not need booking and has a large car park.
Address above.

Time to suit you guys travelling really. The meet at Tesco to head down is a whole 5 min drive from my house so im very easy.

Duration of driving is approx 2hrs. Thats without the food stop. The ex little chef country cooks place is a 5 min detour as its passed where we would turn off but only a few miles, then we can backtrack to the turning. Would possibly be 3 hrs total with food.

The country cooks is also on the A5 so anyone coming north from midwales or south england could possibly meet us there 40-45 min after we leave Tesco

Hi peeps,

I'm leaning in favour of coming up (from near Hereford), so a decent trip :D Maybe I'll meet you at the Country Cooks place?
I haven't been up Snowdonia way yet, so i'm keen to see as much of it as I can :D, which is kind of making me want to meet you at the initial rondevu point? Would you guys say the best half the second half of the day after lunch? or do you reckon its worth me doing the whole thing? (its about 84miles to Country Cook and 121 miles to Llandudno) its 35 miles extra, so i'm tempted to do the whole thing with you, but logically, meeting you at the Country Cooks seems to be the more 'sensible' thing to do) ;)

If you could throw some suggestions at me that would be wicked :)

Hi liam,

To be fair you would end up doing the whole thing anyway if you intended on taking the A5 home again as we are doing a figure of 8 with the finish line back at the start. Once we get there i can point you in the direction lf the a5 again and you will effectively see the entire run, you will just be doing the last bit (our first bit) on your own.

11am meet to leave about 1115, country cooks for 12. I may be a little later as mrs wants to come and wont be home until 11, only 5 min away so will be there before the 1115 depart time. We do have some other interest who have PM'd from further afield that may struggle with a early start so the later the better for them rrally too.
