Free Car Lift, Barbecue - Saturday 26th October from 8.30am

Pub meets, drives and social events. For good food and good company while the car stays in the car park, or for a pleasurable drive through the countryside.

Great turnout with 11 RX8s despite the weather but that improved after lunch.
Great location and the summer weekend would be great event. These are the surroundings

Really good get together, would of benifited by turning my racing beat scoop into a snorkel, but no issues, spring or summer would be a good call for another meet like this. Well done Rob!

Thank you all for the very positive comments,it was a pleasure. It is this kind of event where i feel that i can really contribute something for the benefit of the members as a whole, especially having spent my membership seeking and receiving sound advice from you lot,for which i am,and will continue to be ,very grateful.
As many of you will have worked out, computers, tech and social media is a complete waste land to me,but nuts and bolts, oily mits type of stuff is right up my street, and i am more than happy to do this again. So,now you know that the facilities are here ,feel free to use them anytime, with a little prior notice of course.
If ,as seems to be the case there is real interest in a summer ramp ,camping fest, post up here for now so that i can gauge interest,if it becomes viable,i will start a new thread for it ,and ask my fairy god mothers for help in making it a cracker, thanks, rob.

I have had many thanks for this, but equally, you should all give yourselves a pat on the back for supporting it.All i did was provide the means, and fall out of bed ,whilst you on the other hand ,made some very long journeys, made even more epic given the conditions. Despite the weather,we had a 100 percent turnout, which shows real commitment to supporting an event such as this, many would have turned back.
My contribution was the facilities, but yours was all the advice and knowledge together in one place, thanks.

Not what you want to hear but I'm pretty sure that nobody is going to attempt a repair that close to the edge on a performance tyre :getmecoat:
Mark's : 2017 Honda Civic FK2 Type R Black Edition.

Mandy's : 2019 Mazda MX-5 30th Anniversary RF # 1761/3000.

Free Car Lift, Barbecue - Saturday 26th October from 8.30am

Post by GreySilver Beast » Sun Oct 27, 2019 10:26 pm

Well now that have recovered from the long drive there and back #-o , I can give my personnel thanks to Rob in my official capacity as the Events Coordinator for putting this event altogether for the Club Members that attended on the Saturday :thumleft:

Many thanks Rob you did us proud =D> =D> =D> =D>

Many thanks for your hospitality and particularly opening a brand new packet of biscuits because of my sugar level being so low first thing in the morning =D> =D> =D> =D>

James and I in convoy had fun and games getting to Rob's through the Flood Water, but we both proved how good our respective cars were =D>

No doubt James might post up about following me and wondering if my car was going to make it

Anyway we had plenty of laughs during the day with quite a lot of below the belt humor at each others expense :kinky:

I totally agree we need to do this again in the Spring or Summer, but contrary to belief I don't Camp

As always your Fairy Godmother is at your service Rob

So,given the replies so far,it looks as if a weekender is looking popular. I will have a think about format etc during the day,and get something sorted.
meanwhile, any thoughts for a title for the new thread that i will start.
