I called the Cellar and they cant put us all together... they can do two rows of tables with 10 on each next to each other.

I have provisionally booked the tables and they have asked us for a pre-order (starters and mains) to be submitted on the Tuesday before the event.

Any issues please do let me know.

Hi Rob

I am currently looking at doing one of these routes:-

1. https://goo.gl/maps/uM7FvFF8nNngVZkt6

2. https://goo.gl/maps/LwmbmuTvH2pZ1NDi8

Perhaps we have a vote for which one we do?

For Sunday there is the following route which ends at the Visitor Centre at the Elan Valley:- https://goo.gl/maps/AFkeyLQZn2VmZGXA8

Whichever is prettier and not a dull drive will do for me.

I'm going retro on the MX5 and fitting CB radio, which I should have in place before the trip. It's amazingly cheap these days (less than £100 for a full setup), and the airwaves are very free since people have gone to mobile networks. It's recommended/ mandatory for 4x4 green laners, but a really good idea for any convoy/ group driving activity. I'd definitely advise people to have a Google and see what you think- it would be great not to be the only car set up for multiway comms on this trip!

Very much looking forward to this trip. :D

Ranjan, the more the merrier I'm sure.

With regard to CB, firstly, has Andy found the right sort of thing?
Secondly, walkie talkies look very handy too. A reasonable pair is around £20-30.

Yes, I've quote-replied below- you need a full kit which includes antenna etc, and there's a little setup involved. Walkie-talkies are quite a bit simpler to set up and use, but they tend to only talk to their paired set- I understand there may be ways around this, but probably only on more expensive sets, and quite tricky. Range tends to be shorter too- not so useful in the mountains. I think radio comms will be useful and allow more communication between drivers (though passengers should only use them when in motion)

Quick scan on eBay and found this one. Looks handy as it had 12v power so no wiring in and a antenna
