Re: Shropshire / West Midlands Meet - Friday 9th August - **7pm**
Ok so the course I'm on finishes earlier than planned since I have been a good boy and worked very hard so will be leaving earlier than expected. Should be back in time to jump in a car and get on up to you. Probably won't be the RX8 as it will need fueling up and taxing so going to pop up in the daily.
Will just be myself and Jess as she has been living on beans on toast all week so wants to go out since I have been eating out all week haha

That's a very kind offer Ranjan I am in Broseley about 6 miles from there but wouldn't want to put you out the way.Ranjan wrote:Tom,shroom wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2019 7:00 pmOk so the course I'm on finishes earlier than planned since I have been a good boy and worked very hard so will be leaving earlier than expected. Ranjan.
One of the roads into Broseley from the rabbit run wolves road kicks you down to the Woodbridge and Coalport and it's a bit of a naff road.
Its better to go through Bridgnorth and down the Bridgnorth to Broseley road. Have a Google plan and see if it's worth the detour as I wouldn't want to put you out too much.
I'm going to hopefully landing in Telford at 6pm so can get picked up and be back for maybe 6.30 if everything is on time but I'm going via the train so God knows what delays I may get.
See what you think about the detour and I can let you know how the trains are running tomorrow?
See what you think :-)

The longer the detour the better, remember I am trying to get as much mileage as possible on the car.
So I am game but if you and Jess want some alone time or something I understand but I was hoping you would drive as I have never travelled in the back seat of the RX8.
Ranjan.

Re: Shropshire / West Midlands Meet - Friday 9th August - **7pm**
Anoyingly they decided we needed to finish a load of technical labs in the afternoon so finished later than we normally have done all week!
so I'm going to be on the late train back so won't hit Telford now until 8pm.
Jess will be picking me up from the train station and we will drive over but it's a 50 minute journey from there so can either get a chippy on the way home and have a drink with you guys or order some food late (if they serve that late)
Either way Jess specifically said she wanted to see Nigel again so I don't want to have any more plate throwing at home and arguments so she gets what she wants
See you all later

Re: Shropshire / West Midlands Meet - Friday 9th August - **7pm**
I totally agree Chris, as a group last night ,it was just like meeting old friends again, even though there were new faces for all of us. we had a good old natter about many subjects, and not once did anyone feel overwhelmed or uncomfortable about speaking out. what was particularly refreshing was the interaction of our passengers, who, despite not owning an rx8 themselves were just as enthusiastic, and encouraged to have their say.
i cannot emphasise enough how much of an effort Nigel puts in to these meets, and the lengths he goes to ,to attend them. it is like he is the personal link between the whole membership throughout the country, and when ever i go to a club event, which i find myself doing much more frequently, i simply track down Nigel, and have a chat with him,and suddenly i know everyone there.
Please, other members, don,t think for one minute that i don't value your input,it's just that i have gotten to know Nige a lot better because he is so ubiquitous, and this seemed like a good thread to post it,thanks, rob.
