It will be good to see you all tomorrow. I will use this thread to maybe help other prospective organisers as we are 4 years in and still going strong.
We use 4 venues which we have chosen so that at least one of them is convenient to someone, thereby sharing the journey times and have a different menu for 3 months at a time. Select a time and date and stick to it, obviously not everyone can attend all the time, but at least they can plan ahead.
Advertise the next meet as soon as the current one is over, thus giving any newcomers at least 4 weeks notice. Encourage personal friends to give it a go, at least 40 percent of our meet is made up of non members, anything to keep the numbers up.
As for attendees, only say you are going if you are, i know sh1t happens, but last minute drop outs can be a nightmare, so as much notice as possible please. I hope that this helps , thanks, rob.

Most of you that know me will know that i am a complete numpty with social media etc, but i was wondering whether meets, events etc appear on the clubs facebook page, i ask because there have been several mentions in other threads saying that the page is not current. Correct me if i am wrong, but who is in charge of keeping this updated, i know that Drew helped us out once or twice,

I'm not on Facebook Rob but as Nigel is an admin on the group I think it's him that does the meet pushing bits - might be worth giving him a shout

All the monthly events and more are clearly listed on the Facebook Group that the RX8OC is officially affiliated to, but the same cannot be said of the RX8OC Facebook page which is can be accessed from F button on the forum header where the events listing is not so clear and comprehensive.

The media team have attempted to re-do the page after the login details for the original were lost, but as our relationship with the group is now blossoming (thanks to the lovely AMH ) updating it a bit of a waste of resources

The F link is in the process of being updated to a link to the group. I'll get it chased up with admin as its a them job and not something the committee can do unfortunately
