Can we do this socially distanced at the Six Bells Gary?

Re: Essex & Adjoining Counties Meet - FRIDAY 28/08/2020 8PM - The Grange - Boreham
Possibly, but they seem to be extremely busy every time I have been past there and due to the layout of the Pub it is quite difficult to maintain distancing. I have been in there for a drink and I didn't feel all that comfotable.
The Grange have taken the whole thing very seriously and I have been in there for both drinks and food and on all occaisons felt safer than I did in the Bells.
Also they are under new management and the quality of service has improved tremendously

Ah, sorry, hadn't realised you were proposing the Grange.
If we can be outside, ie a nice evening, then yes, count me in. If inside, then no for me. Need to decide when I know what the weather is going to be!

Re: Essex & Adjoining Counties Meet - FRIDAY 28/08/2020 8PM - The Grange - Boreham
Ok so I have spoken with both the Grange and the 6 bells and neither is comfortable with a car meet at this time.
I'm going to cancel this for now as due to work commitments I will be unable to attend and its a bit late in the day to look for another venue.
Also with the weather the way it is over the coming days, I think sitting outside may not be an option

Having a drive out may still be an option then if anyone fancies it.
I'm under house arrest (had the gall to go on holiday). But some of you might enjoy driving some country lanes together and having a natter in a car park. Happy to suggest some if anybody wants inspiration.

Re: Essex & Adjoining Counties Meet - FRIDAY 28/08/2020 8PM - CANCELLED
I was going to have to cry off anyway as we have been invited round to the new neighbours and the wife kindly accepted on my behalf. I would love to meet up for a drive and chat next week if anybody is available though (not Tuesday or Thursday) I have an issue with my SSV Solenoid that I would welcome some input on.

I know this is the wrong place but I need local advice. Has anyone had a good experience with someone who pulls out dents?

What have you done now
Dent Devils did an amazing job on my son's Audi a couple of year's back. The Colchester branch is the head office in the UK where they do all the training, so the guys running the place are very experienced.

Essex Sunday Drive - 18th October
Been talking to Neil (NeMFO) earlier this week and we thought it would be good to do some kind of car-based meet-up before the end of the year. No significant plans as yet, other than Sunday 18th, but we were thinking of an afternoon drive. I'll give this all a bit more thought this weekend, but just wanted to put it out there now to see if anyone else from the Essex meets might be interested?

If I can get day release then I might be up for being a little less anti-social than usual. Might need my passport to travel from Suffolk into Essex, though.

Re: Essex & Adjoining Counties Meet - FRIDAY ***TBA***
Unfortunately Neil can no longer make this tomorrow.
Given that it was his idea and he's come up with a rough route, we though best to postpone to next Sunday. The clocks go back next Sunday, so I am thinking it might be better if we meet in the morning instead. The weather forecast at the moment also looks OK
So new plan:
Sunday 25th October meet at 10:30AM (GMT)
Starting from the BP services near the park and ride
It would be nice to perhaps stop for a coffee somewhere on route or near the end if anyone has any recommendations?? This probably needs to be a take-away (stand around in a car-park coffee) given the current tier-2 restrictions in Essex.
Here is an approx route:
