Dartford Meet: Tuesday 16/12/14 *7pm*

Post by Arnie_O » Thu Feb 09, 2012 9:03 pm

Well after some interest from some new members and also the collapse of the Southern Rotary Meet last year.

I have spoken with Clive and some other members and would like to test the water so see if there is enough interest to revive the old Dartford Meet.
This as i am told was the original RX8OC meet as they joined up with the guys at the Mazda Rotary Club, and i am lead to believe that after it fell off the radar then many members then went and help set up the Essex meet (Thanks to Harrizone)
It would be great to see this up and running again as there was a brief stint back in 2010-2011

The location as ever would be The pub is [urlw=http://www.wharfcrossways.co.uk/]'The Wharf' (pub/restaurant), Galleon Boulevard, Dartford, Kent DA2 6QE[/urlw]. They serve good, cheap food.... and are very friendly, with children welcome

[urlw=http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x ... search.srf]Click here for location[/urlw]

I would propose that is be set in the Third week of the month and maybe on the traditional Tuesday. as for the RX8OC local meets there is already a meet in the first week (Surrey + Home of GSB), Second Week (Barnet + Home of GSB) and Last week (Essex + Home of GSB).
the date would depend on where the barnet meet gets moved to eventually.

Hopefully we will get the MRC guys there too with they older Rotary beasts.

Just a reminder if you have access to a Google Account then you can Download the Club Calendar onto your Mobile Phone's,which then gives you all the Details of the Meet :P

Was going to say "despite it being further" but it's actually closer than Essex Meet, but includes the toll and more M25 nastiness...

We went through the tunnel as wingman to Aston, not long after he had his decat and street port. :twisted:

After a couple a blips of the throttle, creating 6ft flames and the associated sound effects, the traffic behind suddenly looked like it was going backwards, as they all decided to keep clear :shock: :ninja:

My decat and bridgeport should be just as good then :mrgreen:
I think it went well on the Essex fish and chip run.

Well Numbers are looking good so far, This could be a good meet, just hope that it dont tail off again.

We need members to get the numbers up, inevitably not everyone will make it so we are playing the numbers game.
