Rear Anti Rattle clips.

Post by nnathann2403 »

Hi All,

Got new discs and pads. Mintex pads and MTEC black grooved discs. I bought a new set of anti rattle clips from Biggred, seems like a reputable supplier, but as seen in the images, they dont fit over the disc?
Anyone had this issue before? are they the correct clips?

TIA

Nathan

Never seen any like that before these are the usual clips which includes a low pad wear indicator and 2 clips per pad.

I have those on my rear callipers but the style Delanor mentioned on the front - at a guess are you trying to fit a rear accessory kit to the front?

Edit - should have read the title properly ...

This is how my rear callipers look - I think the gap in mine looks wider:

Sorry, they are just the ones that came with the car as they are pretty good still. I am going to guess the supplier has made a mistake though as the only OEM P/N on AutoDoc for this type is 126166200 - the ones Del mentioned are 126124000.

They are correct shape for rear calipers, but maybe not the right size...

I've had the same thing happen. I think i brought mine off AutoDoc - this was a few years back. Same as you, they are too narrow to fit around the discs.
They're listed as being the same clips for a Suzuki Ignus. Apparently a few catalogues have this confused as there a few listings on ebay with this style of clip that list these as being compatible with the 8's rear brakes and the Ignus.

Odd, but there we are. Its not Big Reds fault.
