Hello to the RX8 gearbox experts,
In 2009 there was a new 6 speed manual gearbox introduced which looks very like the 6MT gearbox in the mx5 nc, but with a different bellhousing.
As an Mx5 owner, we have a known gearbox problem with the rear bearing housing breaking and destroying the gearbox for cars with 250bhp plus.

I am trying to find out if the rear bearing housing on the 2010 RX8 gearbox is made of steel rather than alloy as used in the mx5 and is it a possible replacement? If anyone has a photo of the part or a part number, I would be very grateful, as would the mx5 track day community!
