What's that? Yet MORE 55th Anniversary Celebration events!
That's right! We are hosting an art competition in celebration of the 55th Anniversary of the Mazda Rotary Engine - and what's more it is open to anyone and everyone, regardless of club membership!
Do you have an eye for photoshop? A flair with fabrication? A penchant for painting? An ambition with an airbrush? A photographic wonder? An idea we've not even considered a category for yet?! Then this could well be your chance to stand out from the crowd!
The RX-8 Owner's Club are hosting an art competition like no other, with a plan to have the top entries displayed and judged at the 55th Anniversary Celebration event at JDM Combe on the 9th of July 2022! Multiple people can contribute to the same piece, and this thread can be used by those who fancy it to discuss options, ideas and all manner of fun things therein.
Naturally there have to be a few rules... So please consider the below when ruminating on your planned masterpieces!
- It HAS to be rotary related in some way. That can be as simple as incorporating the famous Reuleaux triangle or as detailed as being fabricated entirely from Wankel engine parts - the world is your (rotor shaped) oyster!
- We are a family friendly club, celebrating at a family friendly show - please reflect that in your work. No nudity, no swear words etc.
- All entries need to be submitted by the end of March 2022, with the creations being available for judging by the beginning of July 2022
- Entries must be the sole work of the creator(s)
- Photographs of said entry will be used to promote the competition and event on social media after the close of the competition - if you would like to be tagged there is a section on the entry form for you to include your details
The only thing left to say is to share the entry list far and wide! There will be some amazing rotary related prizes available, so get creating!
