Lower suspension arm bush play

Post by Jeags »

And so it continues,

Just a quick one taken the 8 to garage today for welding in sills which has been done. Had a quick look over and they're saying that the car has worn bushes on the lower control arms (see attached pictures) where the crowbar is there is a bit of play so was just wondering whether this is normal or if the bushes or whole arm needs replacement. I did notice a knocking from front right when driving over uneaven ground so could be that? Any help would be great thanks. Nearly fully on the road after its mini restoration project!

What year is your car, it may be a recall item.

It's an 07. Not within the recall years unfortunately.

Just a little update. Ended up buying a new set of arms with bushes off eBay and got the garage to fit and MOT it due to every bolt looking seized on. Took that garage a day to get the old arms off and they had to cut the arms in the end so glad I didn't bother! Got nice new ones on now and feels better with no clunking noise like before. Therer was a lot of play in them, don't know how they got that bad. Must be the age. ImageImage

I was lucky enough to bid on a pair for £80 on eBay brand new OEM with bolts. Was very lucky.

Does anyone know if the part number F151-34-300A

Is the same as the part in the Mazda diagram F151-34-310 / 310Z?
