i was putting my car away yesterday and thought I'd give it one last beep before going into storage for 8 months... there was a huge hesitancy when i hit 4-5k rpm and lots of loud noises coming from the rear end, felt like there was no power, i didn't notice any smoke and I'm running decat. below 4k seemed normal.
got to the storage place and plugged in an OBD scanner thing to see if there was anything logged - nothing, then when i went to start the car the rev counter was jumping between 0 and 1k several times and the oil pressure gauge went low briefly and then jumped back again to it's normal position... never known my gauges do anything like this before.
any ideas what i might be looking at, 8 months of worry and saving up ahead of me will probably book into RR in spring but not sure if i should even consider driving it there.
any input much appreciated as ever.

Re: hit 70k and the problems have started
...brought my car out of hibernation recently and unfortunately my issues haven't sorted themselves out
done a little vid of the symptoms where I tried to capture the noise whilst running the torque app...
https://youtu.be/u18GM7P2y0Q
* did a battery test and a charging test and they seem good although ground wire did seem to have been 'pinched' probably by the battery cover at some point
* ignition seems healthy to me judging by the blinking tester things (see vid)
* checked and cleaned the following grounds:
** towards the top of both inner wings
** underneath the battery tray/airbox on the crossmember thing
** what I think is the engine ground underneath the spark plugs
** not been able to determine where the other grounds are
* removed the spark plugs and one in particular (T2) seemed to be covered in oil... last changed only 5k but 4 years ago
any advice on the where to go from here much appreciated...

Yep that plug T2 isn't right. I'd check that coil, or even better get a good set of coils on there to test. Might be worth checking around the housing where it screwed in. Maybe it wasn't in properly? (I don't know if that's even possible)
Great video btw. Loads of detail and well shot. That should really help someone else come and diagnose what's going on.

thinking about it, one plug was loose at one point and needed tightening up again which could explain it

Yep, plug T2 was loose - the sealing washer isn't bright like the others and there's clearly been some leakage from the chamber. You'd have been having very poor compression on rotor 2. I'd start with a set of fresh plugs and go from there. Someone closer to you might even have a used spare set of plugs you could borrow for diagnostic purposes?
