Rotor Review Newsletter - Content Suggestions!

Post by Dr. FrankenRex »

Hello!!

The Rotor Review Newsletter has been migrated over to the Media Team from this issue onwards and, whilst still containing all your favourite events-related news, I am hoping to spice things up a bit!

I have a feature in mind for this quarter's issue, however I would love to hear the thoughts of the membership as to what they would like to see on a quarterly newsletter???

Every suggestion will be considered, no matter how complex, daft or otherwise - even if it's something as simple as a 'Rotary Meme of the Quarter'.

So... Get suggesting below!

1) Member projects and photoshoots of the cars, with full specs etc like car magazines of old.

2) Mod of Qtr corner. Highlighting popular mods or tricks that are common among OC members that all may not be aware of.

3) DIY corner. Each issue has a new step by step guide like haynes manual for easy home mechanics to folow like oil flush and change, coolant change, brake disc and pads change, even how and where to correctly jack and stand an RX8.

4) Heres one we found - a feature on a good example thats currently for sale with photos and write up from owner. Show people current value and what can be got for what money.

5) Meet the OC team - a feature on a key members of the team that are frequent attendees at events, there background, car, what they do in life and the club etc etc

6) Our Cars feature - following the progress of the editors and oc teams cars. What theyve done this quarter, how theyve modified or maintained etc.

7) Club Charity - How the club as contributed to a chosen charity, collectioms at events, sponsored events, individuals current charity endeavours with the justgiving etc details (im doing a help for heroes sponsored drive august...just saying)

Just of the top of my head......

This one may be dangerous as it could shatter any fragile egos but a head to head section comparing 2 members cars looks, mods etc

What about members put in an anonymous vote for something rotary related then in the next issue we put the score like 60% of members said yes and 40% said no

I know of an R3 with less than 10k on it 😎

I also know of a Winning Blue that is factory fresh.

This idea has merit! 🤣

How about Featured Sections of the forum?

Some new members may never think to have a look around, while even experienced members can fall into the habit of being fed "Unread Posts" while forgetting many of the gems that have less day-to-day activity
