Make your own, dye the seats the same colour, get the wheels done in that bronze colour and stick some Spirit R badges on it, believe me very few will be able to tell the difference.

Dan will sort those for you. Honestly though it's an absolute rip off, apart from a serious collector why would anyone pay that kind of money for a few mods that you could get done for a few quid

Having a factory produced last of the line RX-8 certainly appeals to me and I think the Spirit R looks great so whilst I would pay a premium for that, no way would I pay the type of premium required to bring one here.

True. I mean, besides the spirit R stickers, interior seat colour change, blacked out headlights and taillights... There isn't much else is there...? Maybe the radio inside, but i've got a guide to put a much better Double Din aftermarket one in  (going to update that soon - promise hah!).

Wheels are easy to sort with a simple refurb in whatever colour takes your fancy, and bob's your uncle! :-k While it's cool to say "I have a true JDM SpiritR import" it's tough to put a number on it. Personally if I was wanting one that bad, i'd spend it making an R3 really lovely and you get to re-do a lot of the wear parts like the seats that - even with a JDM SpiritR import - will have wear and use regardless of mileage. Not worth the massive premium to me when with a few g's at most you can convert an R3 over and make it sooooo nice :D and even then - the difference in price between a used R3 at 60-80k miles compared to a 20-30k mile car is only what... £3000, and £4000 at maximum?

That reminds me though - i've gotta check what those pesky spiritR stickers go for at mazda or if they can even get them. I don't fancy paying the stupid money of those listed on eBay :p [-X

Just buy Rod's or habbo's R3 ( assuming they were willing to part with them) and you'll have the best R3 anywhere.

For me Rod's R3 is a real thing of beauty, a truly stunning R3 and habbo's is very nice also, both for me look better than any Spirit R

I almost paid £24k for a 2013 Spirit R a few years back. Had 6k on the clock. I felt that would have been a good investment. Based on the above I think I'd be right.

You're not wrong! But then again... Benefit of hindsight and the sheer amount of balls you'd need to commit to something like that ain't something to scoff at    sometimes they get away :p :giggle: shame though - always kicking myself for things I don't end up doing or buying - but it goes like that sometimes ;)

100%. It was a fresh import that was still in Japan at the time. Shame I didn't, but equally I probably wouldn't have ended up buying the house we're in now if I'd done it so... lol

Can’t race a house, can’t even take it to shows for that matter.......
