Re: Servicing
Are Brembo brake pads any good. They're half price on eurocarparts right now.

I’ve got Brembo pads on Flos - normal road use - good enough for me and she seems to stop ok

Re: Servicing
They normally need a bit of filing down to fit I find but are of a good quality in my experience

Cheers
I presume my local garage should be able to work it out?

Re: Servicing
I assume you've checked that they're happy to fit "customer supplied parts"?
Many garages won't (can't) any more because it's specifically excluded in their commercial insurance.
Some people suggest that it's restrictive practice, and they just want the sales as well as the work, but it's much or about the massive flood of fake parts being sold to customers from dodgy sources, and the potential implications if these fitted parts fail and someone is injured/killed.

Re: Servicing
I don't see why everyone rates EBC so much on this forum. I've had some horrendous failures on genuine pads previously.

Re: Servicing
Absolutely, for normal, "fast road", plus occasional track day usage, as long as you don't abuse them.
Pagid were (and probably still are) the oem supplier to Aston Martin, among others.

Re: Servicing
Pagid also make endurance and race pads. Not sure if they do the RX8 OE design pad in the uprated spec though.

Re: Servicing
FWIW I've absolutely hammered OEM-spec Brembo pads on track right down to the metal and they didn't break up, disintegrate or fail at all - I would use them on a road car without hesitating

As it happens both I and Paul and sticking them on, in my case partly cos they were half price on eurocarparts

Re: Servicing
Ferodo are still my pad of choice across all my cars. Fits always spot on and good performance. I am not a fan of EBC or pagid personally. EBC are over priced and pagid seems to be a budget choice with vary quality. Sometimes good and sometimes poor.
