Hi......wondered if i could get an answer on a question about the oil coolers...it looks like they are in series, so i wanted to know which is the "Hot" one and which i the cool one for a UK model. Am putting oil temp and oil pressure fittings on and dont want to fit them on precooled oil.
Also, like all good gardeners, when is it time to take off your mouse mats for the summer?

Re: oil coolers
you are correct the coolers are plumbed in series from left to right ( from the drivers seat perspective) so the cooler on the passengerside ( RHD car) gets the hottest oil so that is where you should take your oil temp measurement
I monitor my oil pressure and temp and find I'm running 1 mat pretty much all year round on the driverside cooler and get about 85 °C
its only in middle of summer in 25 °C heat I remove the 2nd mat
