Re: R3 Oil cooler Lines

For anyone interested we actually have a set of OEM R3 oil lines in with our manufacturer to produce a complete system.

The look and price will hopefully not be too much more than the series 1 system we have which can be found here.

The pics in the link need updating they actually have some nice branding on them now like the brake lines below.

Thanks for the input guys. I've been looking at the oil cooler lines kit on Mishimoto uk website and it states that the kit is a direct replacement for the 04 to 08 model Rx8 only :-k . Have now decided to go for Racing Beat kit :thumleft:
I got a brand new set that I’ll be selling if Dan doesn’t want them.

Hi Carl, any idea when the Ryan Rotary Performance R3 kit will be available. I'm not desperate for them at the moment. They are not leaking, it was the amount of corrosion found during a recent service :-k.... plus your kit will be a lot cheaper than Mazda or Racing Beat :)

Just found out one of my oil cooler lines is leaking so put me down for a set of these too (as well as the exhaust system)... assuming they're not going to be too long a wait!!

I'm sure its a "how long is a piece of string" question and i know the damage it can do if the line fails completely... but any idea how long i can limp along with it as it is?

as soon as they start leaking your sitting on a unexploded grenade with the pin pulled. it could let go in 10 feet.

Don't suppose you've still got them have you Goobie? Looks like I might not have time to wait for the RRP lines to be ready :(

I still have them and I'm still waiting payment, been waiting over three weeks now without letting me know if he's changed his mind etc, so Il let you know.

It's pretty straight forward and my brother said it would be easy to 3D scan at work and load up on CAD etc to re-produce as I have the kit in my hands so no guess work etc. I'm told he could knock these up at £48 +vat per kit to exact same spec including the fancy colour scheme based on 20 kits with a maximum 14 day turn around (This would only be that because where he works and what he does there etc.). BUT, as I've said here or else where previously I won't do that for a good few reasons.

Copying particular special parts that small company's spend a lot of time and money designing and getting right on kinda rare cars will only lead them to going bust and put off future development. If you own a business and develop parts, you'll understand.

Here a picture of the special part.

For anyone toying with these - get them quick! I was the lucky club member who got the first set and they're absolutely brilliant - Fit perfectly, look great and will no doubt outlive the rest of the car... even at full price, they're a bargain compared to the alternatives!

Best of all - my car is now oil leak free :thumright:

£250? It say's on your page the non intro offer price once those are sold is actually 50% more at £375.

Don't know why, but for some reason I got it in my head that they would have nice fancy AN fitting etc like the Racing Beat Oil Line Kit as all your other stuff is really well made, but these are just the usual banjo fittings. Room for a version two later on perhaps?

Pictures for the R3 kit aren't actually online yet, £250 is for the series 1 and there is a selector to choose the R3 version. :)

Well I've held on to my one's since the end of September for Velocity_Dan93, as he said he will have them if I can hang on a couple weeks for payment.

I'm guessing by the no reply to my last three separate pm attempts and not hearing anything since his last pm I received on 16th October saying should have the money sorted that afternoon and been ignored ever since, that he no longer wants them.

As it's "Black Friday" next week, if some one interested in the kit? I may offer them out at a really REALLY good price!

Remmeber, the Racing Beat R3 Kit is £600!
