Recently I've been seeing some of my attached pics going sideways. Bizarrely they would be fine on my phone or if I view them on my laptop on most programs, but just turn once I attach them to a post on here. After much ado, and trying to rotate them, I found this guide which I thought was a revelation for me.

Essentially Windows 10 is being far too clever and recognising rotating pics and just adjusting them for you. When you rotate the pic, it doesn't actually rotate it but changes the orientation. In detailed view you can add a column which shows the orientation.
Fix is simple thankfully, just click edit on the pic's that are rotated (which opens it in MS paint) and then just save again and MS Paint will orient the picture to normal for you.
