Hey guys
Okay so I've had my 8 stuck in the garage for about two years I've just put a new battery on its got new coils and leads And runs like crap I've reset it with the 20 stomps of the pedal nice fresh air filter and oil and it runs so rough sounds like it's misfiring almost it's idling about 750-800 rpm when I put the smallest amount of revs bringing it to about 1000rpm the rough Shakeiness stops brand new engine mounts were fitted about a month before it went into hibernation what do you guys think have any of you had this and fixed the issue?
Thanks
Dean

Re: Reaurecting the rx8
what state are the plugs in?
if you have a scan tool can you read the datastream and check what figures the LTFT ( long term fuell trim) is running at?
more than +/- 10% means there's something wrong

Re: Reaurecting the rx8
If the PCM has just been reset and the car hasn't actually been driven, then the LTFT isn't going to be meaningful (yet).

Re: Reaurecting the rx8
My car shakes at idle and smooths out around 1k rpm but has modified engine mounts.
Try some super unleaded if it's been sat with the same fuel for two years.

Re: Reaurecting the rx8
I find my bikes run a bit rough after neglecting them for a long time. Fresh fuel and an Italian tune up does wonders for them.
