Peeps
I'm in the process of mocking up a supercharger installation on my 'spare' engine and was wondering if anyone has any images of the R3 oil filter mount? as I need to create to some room and the oil filter needs to move

It's a sod to even get a look at when the engine is in place, let alone take a decent photo.
Finding a decent photo of an R3 block when it's out of the car might be your best bet.

Re: R3 Oil filter housing
Moving the filter isn’t easy because there is insufficient room for a conventional/available relocation housing to fit.
You’ll probably need to have a bespoke one made up. £££
Good luck.

Beware - older people may be cr@p drivers but they can afford better lawyers

Re: R3 Oil filter housing
Worth looking at these options. https://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/s/oi ... ich-plates
The first one is what I used on my S1 plus one of these covers https://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/s/oi ... ver-plates
Then you need to choose the relevant unions and a remote filter head plus some pipe. All in you are looming at c£180 for the full set up.
The adaptor plus cover plate is no taller than the oil filter but the unions do stick out the side, or the top if you choose the top exit adaptor.
Your best bet is to look around the website, or get a catalogue.
If you order the wrong bits then Merlin will refund in full as long as the parts are in as new condition.

Re: R3 Oil filter housing
OK thanks for the responses chaps
looks like the R3 setup is too far different to just be a bolt on mod
I'm probably best off modifying the stock item
