Well I'll see when it gets here. Claims to be aluminium so with luck that's not just the colour

I'm already thinking how I might add weight to it if it is light

I am playing around with some kit at the moment to make my own gear Knob

its just getting the prep-portions right

using acrylic bonds/paint, threaded tube, glitter...loads of stuff the hobby stores making a fortune out of my car mods fund & I also want it to light up

The cheapy cheapy one I got was pretty enough and felt nice but there was no way I could triple its weight to make it shift like the original.

Not enough volume as far as I can tell.
The RX8 knob is 300g and the cheap one is 100g. I don't see any way of squeezing 200g in the space available

But as I may of said before, it was only cheap. An experiment.

Ok this is more like it

Weighs 25% more than the standard one, and feels and looks very nice.

It's about 1.5cm shorter than the standard one so I need a way to fix the gaitor to it.

Slightly obsessive picture taking, but I just want a good angle
