Throttle body inner diameter measurements

Post by sKenDread »

Hey guys,
Has anyone got a throttle body unattached and calipers to measure the inner diameter of the intake where the accordion meets the throttle body?

I want to print a bung/plug for vacuum testing.

I know I can measure it myself by removing the parts but would save some time if one was already exposed

Something to note. 3/4 quarters has a raised lip on the outside. The first is flat to lip. Last is lip to lip. If that makes no sense pm me and we'll have a chat tomorrow.ImageImageImageImageImageImage

Oh this is great. Thanks heaps man. Yeah that makes sense. I'll whip something up on the printer tonight. I'm making a plug/cup thing to cover the hole. So I can pressurise the intake and finally find this dang vacuum leak

Thanks again bro

Depending on the nature of the leak, pressurising may seal it like a one-way valve.

If pressurising doesn't identify it, then try a vacuum using a hand pump.
One of these should work https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-Auto-Bra ... 2136330006 :)
Just don't Google "enlarger vacuum pump"

I’ve always had success spraying wd40 over everything. Makes a bit of a mess though!
