Electric seat connectors

Post by Ranjan »

I just want to say that the guy who designed the connectors under the driver’s seat is a sadistic arse who needs a good hiding; it took me over an hour yesterday to undo the big white connector, getting into body contortions that are not good for me at my age!

I hate you whoever you are

You AR*E

Two things I absolutely insist on is putting my own seat in and attaching my own harness; every car, every time.
ONLY took an hour and seven bleeding fingers and a sore shoulder....

Wayne,

It is a bit embarrassing asking how to undo a connector [-X
In the end I got so fed up, I wrapped the lead round the seat rail and moved the seat forward using the button and forced the bugger out :yeah:

Probably a bit late but don’t disconnect the cables until you have removed the seat mounting bolts

Please tell me you disconnected the battery first, as it can trigger the seat airbags if you unplug "live".

That is how I started but after over an hour of trying with bloody fingers I reconnected the battery and used brute motive force; made sure I was away from blast radius.
