so it appears that ive gained a pinhole in my exhaust. which means its a potential opportunity for something else.
I would like as close to stock as possible. for <400 quid any suggestions?

Re: r3 exhaust
I know I posted on FB about the RB one, but have you considered getting an OEM replacement without a hole in it?
If you want as close to stock as possible, why not go stock for ~£50?

Re: r3 exhaust
yea im considering that if i can find one close by.
Im just thinking its the possibility for an upgrade but dont want to spend so much 800 quid for a back box is a bit extreme.

Did Ray sell his Pettit? They are pretty polite sounding in normal driving when run with a cat.

Re: r3 exhaust
Mm, not as many 2nd hand aftermarket exhaust systems for the R3 about really.
The nearest to stock on an S1 is a PZ. You could get one and modify the tips/ get different tips to fit?????

Re: r3 exhaust
Be aware that, while most exhaust places could make a system up for you based on off-the-shelf components, you won't know what the result sounds like until they're finished. Also the quality of some of the elements might not be up to handling the heat and flow-rate generated by the Renesis, resulting in the sound-deadening material just getting blown out the back after a few k miles - this has happened to more than one member on here.
If they take a ready-made system for an S1 and modify it to fit the R3 then it may be more suitable, but the original suppliers warranty is voided by the modification and, if it fails prematurely, then you've got problems - this has also happened to other R3 owners.

Re: r3 exhaust
You do of course get a lifetime warranty with Pettit
I had one for 6 years when a baffle went, a brand new Back Box was supplied free of charge.. and the quality is what you pay for, it was a no-brainer for me given the heat from a Rotary
Really, cost shouldn't come into it.. given the frugal MPG of the 8
