Wolverhampton Mazda and Bristol Street Birmingham

Post by Dr. FrankenRex »

Right...

Recall time for FrankenRex... It's Bridgeported, doesn't like to start when you know what you're doing and only needs an airbag recall doing...

Anyone got any nuggets of wisdom on the above mentioned 2 dealers that may be able to carry out the work without fudging it up?

Wolverhampton Mazda on Willenhall Road is actually run by a buddy of mine - they did my drivers airbag a while back while I waited.
More like an indy than a monolithic, dribbling stealer.

Well that, my good hap, is somewhat of a relief and bit of good news.

Let's see how well they deal with it not idling after a battery disconnect :D

Bit of feedback on this, my good peeps, as dear FrankenRex2 went in to Edwards Mazda in Worcester.

They were efficient, made no comment on the condition and running of my car and half an hour after dropping it off threw the keys back to me and off I went. Very nice bunch - good tea as well.

Whilst I was there I also managed to sit in and play with a 30th Anniversary MX5 and the new Mazda 3. Both very nice cars :D

And they had this on the wall, which I'm sure the people here will appreciate:

I did ask the sales guys if they'd sell it, but alas they said no :'(

Just closer really. And Mr 13Black advised that he had taken his there or knew someone or some such.

I booked mine in with Edwards and left it with them after they assured me they could complete the air bag and fuel pump recall, after 2.5 hrs they called and told me to come back and collect my car as they did not have a "Mazda skilled technican" available to complete the work and it would be a further 2 weeks before they could deal with it I did point out there was a supposed fire risk with the fuel pump problem but they just looked at me as though I was from another planet.

They are supposedly a muliti franchise dealership for Mazda,Volvo, Kia presumably with only one "skilled technician" for each make.

i did complain to the service manager - never got a reply!

I did only have the airbag done (that is all that is due for the R3) but I get your point.
