Hi the other day whilst driving I hit redline followed by a loud bang(sounded like a backfire) and loss of power shortly after it shut off. Steering and brakes also locked up I can no longer start the engine and my mechanic says the coilpack dont seem to be the problem and hes 80%sure its compression.sadly no one can do compression tests up here so it seems (aberdeen)
I assume low compression due to the last few weeks the idle has been more lumpy which I originally thought was going to be the coilpacks
Could anyone give me there opinion on this or know of anyone in aberdeen that can do compression tests
