Yes you need beam adapters. I use a set of eurolites. There are instructions in the pack on which parts of the sticker to use and where. I use them if I’m going to be driving at night.

In France you will also need al breathalyser, or face a fine if found not to have one.
Now a distant memory unfortunately.

I don't believe you do need the breathalyser in France any more, but you do still need to be able to fix lights issues on the spot, so take spare bulbs. As mentioned high viz inside the car is a requirement.

To drive on the motorways in Austria you need a vignette. The route we took had a service station on the border. They had automated machines which seemed designed to generate confusion. Less obvious was that you could just buy them at the tills which is far easier.

Have a great time! :)

You need a High Vis for each seat in the car even if there is only one person in there :!:

Nah you don't. Pretty sure the law is for a single vest (i.e. for the driver to wear should they need to get out of the car on the hard shoulder - hence it needs to be in the car, rather than the boot), but it is recommended that all occupants have one, given the advice is that everyone decamps if you stop on the hard shoulder.

Incidentally, don't know anyone who has been done for any of the points above, but I am sure it will crop up if you are stopped and the officer doesn't take a liking to you.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more important than all this tho, have you checked out: https://www.ultimatedrives.net/top-10-roads/ What route are you taking?

Make sure your car is nice and shiny, you might be able to sell it for more than twice it's UK price and fly home with profit to spare...
