Hello all
I've got one of those bluetooth devices that plugs into the 12V lighter socket and you then tune your radio into so you can play music form your phone
however ever since I've fitted Karls new boomshanker coils I've now got ignition whine ( hardly surprising I suppose)
I was considering adding a 10uf capacitor over the terminals of the 12v socket to damp the whine
will this help do we think?
radio whine on bluetooth device?

Re: radio whine on bluetooth device?
Let me know how you get on as I have the same issue with my Anker Bluetooth radio / hands free adapter.

Re: radio whine on bluetooth device?
Can you switch frequencies on the BT device? Does it make any difference?
Do you get a whine just using the radio?

Re: radio whine on bluetooth device?
no there's only 1 frequency it transmits on
and the normal car radio is uneffected
I suspect the 12V socket is the issue as the isolation on these tend to be non-existent
plus the socket I'm using is one I've added myself thats just run in paraell off the original socket

A capacitor won't do any harm and you might be lucky.
