Strange issue on start

Hi

Twice now when I started the car following usual process. The car started to shudder then after 10-15 seconds returns to normal but shuddering a little.

During the shudder the rpm is less than 1K afterwards I can smell some petrol!

All of this clears fully within 3-4 minutes. I have a video but cannot upload on Tapatalk. Will do it later...anyone had this before?

sounds like it might be misfiring a bit
do you have an OBD scan tool that can monitor lambda in real time? as this may provide some answers

I do will plug it in

I do have new plugs for it so better change those.

while you're there also measure the plug lead resistance as it should be roughly be about 7 Kohm

Will do I have a track day on Sunday hope she makes it to that...then it’s the winter break easy to fix these issues

Newp, 7 kOhm is way out of spec.
Should be between 1 and 4.

If it's a cold start then it might just be the secondary air system kicking-off to light-up the cat.

Yep it’s always happens at cold start, have been thinking of removing the secondary air system I have a hiflow cat so have kept it

i get something like this, i think i have a leaking fuel injector that weeps when the car is shut down.

Poss leaking coolant into combustion chamber?..keep an eye on expansion level tank.
